Request deletion of CardVeil data

CardVeil supports user data deletion requests and marketplace account closure notifications. This page explains how to submit a request and how CardVeil handles deletion.

How to request deletion

Send an email to support@cardveil.com with the subject line 'Data Deletion Request'. Include the email address used with CardVeil and any relevant marketplace identifier if your request relates to marketplace API data.

We may request additional information only when needed to verify that you are authorized to make the request.

What we delete

Upon a verified request, CardVeil will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your CardVeil account, including saved searches, watchlist settings, alert settings, and support identifiers, unless retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or accounting obligations.

If the request relates to eBay marketplace account deletion or closure, CardVeil will delete or de-identify applicable eBay user data connected to the marketplace identifiers supplied by eBay's notification process.

Timing

CardVeil aims to acknowledge deletion requests promptly and complete verified deletion requests within a commercially reasonable period, subject to legal and platform requirements.

Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before automatic rotation, but deleted data will not be restored for ordinary business use.

eBay notification callback

For eBay marketplace account deletion and closure notifications, CardVeil provides a callback endpoint at /api/ebay/account-deletion. The endpoint supports the eBay challenge-response verification flow and acknowledges POST notifications for processing.

Production registration with eBay requires an HTTPS endpoint URL owned by CardVeil and a 32 to 80 character verification token.
